Frequently Asked Questions

17. Can I still enjoy sports with osteoporosis?

Avoid sports and activities that are high-impact and/or twist your spine or bend forward from the waist, such as conventional sit-ups, toe touches, or swinging a golf club. Look for ways to modify sports and leisure activities that you enjoy to protect your bones, or cultivate new forms of physical activity that put less stress on your skeleton.
